Students, too, can be cultural ambassadors.  With our help, university students can visit China, meet Chinese students their age, share their interests with Chinese students, and participate in cultural exchanges.  A typical student ambassador tour involves a group of students visiting three different universities in different parts of China, meeting with students for a "day of dialogue" at each university.  In these dialogues they will make presentations to Chinese students, sharing their academic interests. The Chinese students will make presentations, too.  Everything will be in English or Chinese if you like. In the evenings there will be a "cultural exchange" party in which students share music and art from their cultures.  As this occurs friendships can be made which continue through e-mail communication long after the events.

In addition, we can help individual students engaged in undergraduate research advance their research interests by arranging for them to meet with scholars in their fields and by helping them visit sites relevant to their interests.  Topics of research can include international business, environmental issues, the creative and performing arts, history, science, and culture studies, including religion.

The Student Ambassador Tour must be sponsored by a faculty member from the students’ university who joins the tour and serves as a representative of the American university. Students interested in individual research studies need strong recommendations from university faculty.
