Spiritual mountain retreat

Day 1 Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing you will be met and transferred to your deluxe hotel for a short rest, then enjoy the world famous Beijing Acrobatic Troupe performance.

Day 2 Beijing
Visit Tiananmen Square, the largest plaza in the world. Forbidden City, ancient home of the emperors and the Temple of Heaven, where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven. You will also have Hutong tour, the oldest residential area of Beijing. Some 500 years old, its narrow streets are traversed by rickshaw transport. This evening, enjoy a special banquet featuring the city’s world-famous “Peking Duck.”

Day 3 Beijing
Climb the Great Wall, the ancient wonder built thousands of years ago. See the Ming Tombs and visit a Jade Factory where you can find many beautiful jade bracelets and other ornaments.

Day 4 Beijing
The morning you will visit the Summer Palace, resort of the Empress Dowager. Visit Pan Jiayuan dirt market. Afterwards, you will transfer to the airport. Fly to Xi’an.

Day 5 Bailin Temple—Experience the monk’s daily life.
Located in Hebei province, Bailin Temple is a famous Zen study center in China, which was established 1700 years ago by Master Zhaozhou who was one of the greatest Zen masters in the history of Chinese Buddhism.

Day 7 Xi’an
Xi’san is the ancient capital of 13 dynasties and China’s most important archeological site. Visit an orphanage and community for the elderly.

Day 8 Xi’an
In morning you will visit the tomb of emperor Qin, guarded by the 6,400 life-sized soldiers , horses, and ministers of the 2,200-year-old Terra Cotta Warriors. You can also visit Art Pottery Factory to see the process of making Terra-cotta Warriors. If you want you may also buy some local pottery and porcelain. Also visit peaceful Huaqing Hot Springs and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. You’ll enjoy a special Chinese dumpling festival dinner and after dinner you will watch ‘Dance with Musical Accompaniment in the Style of Tang Dynasty’ which shows prosperous Tang Dynasty in Chinese history.

Day 9 Chongqing
Chongqing Relax and enjoy an evening view of Jialing River.Chongqing, a city on the bank of Yangtze river, attracts tourists from around the world. The buildings here are built on the hillsides and surrounded by numerous mountains. Chongqing is known as both "River city" and "Mountain city". Night scenes of the mountainous city are special sight of Chongqing. Jinyun mountain is one of the four national scenic spots. Nicknamed "Less Mount Emei", Jinyun Mountain is a national scenic resort 55km from downtown Chongqing.

Day 10 Chongqing
Live in Jinyun Mountain and visit “Taoist Center for Preserving Health”. A Taoist Priest will give you a diagnosis.
Jinyun Mountain: 34 miles from downtown Chongqing, Jinyun Mountain, a famous Taoist Mountain, also known as the lesser Mt. Emei, and is a state designated scenic spot.
Taoist Ceremony July 23-24 at Taoist temple, Shaolong Temple.

Day 11 Chongqing
Live in Jinyun Mountain, Visit and shopping in Ciqikou Ancient town.
Ci Qi Kou (Porcelain Village) is situated on the bank of the Jia Ling River, not far from the mighty Yangtze. The ancient village of Ci Qi Kou was famous for its production of porcelain.

Day 12 Shanghai
Relax and then visit the classical Yuyuan Garden in the heart of the Old City.

Day 13 Shanghai
Shanghai Museum, People’s Square, and Bund. You will board on the Huangpu River for 2 hour cruise then visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower and view the night scenery of Shanghai.

Day 14 Shanghai
Shopping. You will be transferred to the Pudong airport for your flight to the US.
